Job Description Summary
Faegre Drinker has an opportunity for a Legal Administrative Assistant to work with attorneys in several Litigation practice groups in our Dallas office. You will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to providing a full range of legal administrative support to the assigned timekeepers in alignment with the firm's core values. This position will work with other talented individuals who share a passion for doing great work in the best interest of our clients.
Job Description
What you would do
The Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant will be tasked to provide a unique level of support through daily administrative support to assigned timekeepers in their practice group as well as other members of the cross-firm team
The Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant is expected to show administrative skills sets in a broad array of commercial and product liability litigation
Proficient experience and knowledge of the business litigation practice is necessary to prove successful in the role
Create, maintain and properly close client and matter files.
Manage the conflict check process, prepare engagement agreements and establish necessary financial information to allow for time entry and invoicing
Submit expense reports, process payment requests and coordinate the client billing process
Schedule in-person meetings, Teams calls and travel arrangements, and set hearings, including coordination with court clerks
File and serve pleadings and documents in federal and state cases
Other administrative tasks, as assigned

Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are a requirement for this position (e.g., via phone, web/videoconference)

Demonstrated ability to work independently, organize and accurately prioritize work, be detail-oriented, understand when urgency is required and use good judgment in varied situations

What is required
3+ years of legal administrative experience, with a background in, billing, invoicing and calendar management
Experience at Am Law 50/100 firms strongly preferred
Minimum of high school graduation or GED; paralegal certificate or business degree preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint)
Current Notary Public Commission
