With a strong reputation for safety, quality, and efficiency, we partner with top general contractors across the Chicago market to deliver high-quality projects on time and on budget.Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Commercial Carpentry Project Manager to oversee multiple projects from pre-construction through closeout. This role is responsible for managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client relationships while ensuring successful project execution.Key ResponsibilitiesProject ManagementManage multiple commercial carpentry projects simultaneously (framing, drywall, finishes)Oversee project lifecycle from kickoff to final closeoutDevelop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecastsEnsure alignment between field operations and office managementFinancial OversightPrepare and manage project budgets and cost trackingReview and approve AIA billing (G702/G703)Manage change orders, including pricing, tracking, and executionMonitor job cost vs. budget and maintain profitabilityClient & Contract ManagementServe as primary point of contact for General Contractors and clientsReview contracts, scopes of work, and identify risk or gapsEnsure compliance with contract requirements and project specificationsField CoordinationWork closely with Superintendents and Foremen to drive productionMonitor manpower, productivity, and schedule adherenceConduct jobsite visits to ensure quality and safety standardsDocumentation & SystemsMaintain accurate project documentation in systems such as:ProcoreSageTexturaTrack submittals, RFIs, change orders, and closeout documentsQualifications5+ years of experience in commercial construction project managementStrong background in carpentry, drywall, or interiors trades preferredProven experience managing multiple projects simultaneouslyProficiency in:AIA billing (G702/G703)Change order managementConstruction financials and job costingExperience with Procore, Sage, Textura, and Microsoft Office highly preferredStrong communication, negotiation, and leadership skillsAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsWhat We OfferCompetitive salary based on experiencePerformance-based bonus opportunitiesHealth, dental, and life insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time offOpportunity to grow with a rapidly expanding companyWhy Join Ibuilders?At Ibuilders, you're not just managing projects—you're building something bigger.
