Chief Executive Officer (CEO) – Leading Nonprofit OrganizationLocation: UtahSummary of PositionAs the visionary and strategic leader of this leading nonprofit organization, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for ensuring the organization is successful in its core mission while fostering a corporate culture of trust and professional fulfillment.Strategic Vision:Refine and maintain a strategic vision and plan in synergistic partnership with the Board of Directors and in accordance with the Board-approved Strategic Plan.Expand existing programs as appropriate in order to broaden the scope of services and serve more families and their children.Where appropriate, and consistent with the organization's Strategic Plan, create new programs that would broaden the scope of services the organization is able to provide, thereby serving more families and their children.Reestablish various sources of revenue, including relationships with community partners.Find and develop innovative new sources of revenue that will enable the organization to grow, serve a larger segment of the community, supplement grant funding, and fiscally support a strong leadership team.Design, fund, build, and/or potentially lease new spaces that would allow the organization to expand current programs and/or add new programs, with a particular eye toward bringing services closer to the families served.Financial Viability and Growth:Collaborate with the Board of Directors, the VP of Marketing and Development, and other Executive Team members to develop and implement fundraising strategies.Direct the submission of proposals for funding to foundations and other charitable organizations, businesses, government, and private individuals.Forecast personnel needs to meet the client demand for services and secure planned funding.Assist programs with budgeting, approvals, and securing sufficient resources to accomplish specific program objectives.Scale resources, facilities, and human capital at a pace that meets community needs while maintaining financial viability.Implement systems, policies and procedures, standard operating procedures, and metrics that will sustain the organization and meet federal and state regulatory requirements with confidence, ensuring optimal use of funds.Strategic Leadership and Resource Management:Effective management and leadership of the Executive Team to ensure that all programs work synergistically for the greater good of the organization and the families served.Effective management of resources and alignment of resource allocation within and between the organization's services programs.Assure the organization's liability, legal, and contractual compliance.Board of Directors:Report directly to the Board of Directors; work collaboratively with the Board Chair and Board Executive Committee.Serve as the primary contact for and the liaison between the Executive Team and the Board of Directors, particularly regarding issues of mission, vision, and governance.Collaborate with the Executive Team to create a budget for the organization each fiscal year for approval by the Board of Directors.Monitor income and expenses in conjunction with overall budget on a frequent (at least monthly) basis.Establish program objectives (especially financial) and report on the execution of those objectives to the Board of Directors.Qualifications:Master's Degree in human services, public administration, business management, or related field, or commensurate experience.Five or more years of experience in senior management positions.Leadership experience in non-profit and for-profit organizations.Experience and comfort with public speaking and presenting in various situations and settings, including virtual meetings.Fluency with marketing and promotion.Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.Demonstrated leader with a documented history of successful business leadership.Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:Spanish language proficiency ideal.Experience in business data analytics and financial forecasting.Experience as a Board Member (ideally in a non-profit setting).Understanding of nonprofit legislative and funding processes.Ability to work effectively with, and make appropriate business decisions, pertaining to business technology.PrincePerelson & Associates is an Equal Opportunity Employer and we do not discriminate against applicants due to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetics, veteran status, or on the basis of disability or any other federal, state or local protected class.
