Sales Manager (Maryland)

The Role Green Thumbis seeking a talentedSalesManagerto oversee ourgrowingMarylandcannabis program.As aSalesManager, you will be responsibleto ensurewe meet andexceedour distribution targets and revenue growth targets. As aprocessmanageryou willberesponsible formaximizing our sales team potential,influencingand educating our customers, developing sales& productionstrategies,maintainingbudget/salesforecastsandmanagethe overall execution of the sales plan.You thrive in agrowth,gritty environment andaren'tafraid to roll up your sleeves and dive in. This role is best suited for an extrovertedgo-getterwhodoesn'tmind phone calls, driving and ample facetime.You will be in dispensariesofteninteracting with a variety of clientele.Above all, youwill embody Green Thumb'speoplefirst culture.This position is based in Maryland. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation is required with the ability to travel 100% within your designated territory in Maryland.ResponsibilitiesOversee all functions of the sales lifecycle including sales forecasting, direct relationship management and development, negotiation of buying agreements and lead conversion, deal evaluations and approvalsIn partnership with CGM, develop annual and quarterly revenue plans, prepare monthly sales reports by product and channel to evaluate brand and product performance and develop annual and quarterly sales plans.Ensure stores have proper inventory levels through sales tools, smart communication and in-store visitsUnderstand and provide insights on sales drivers and recommend new opportunities to drive incremental growthAttend cannabis industry trade shows, conferences, conventions, and other professional events in an effort to stay current on industry trends as well as to interact with potential and existing customers.Partner with Finance and Operations on the following activities: forecasting activities, developing revenue targets, budgeting and developing sales operations processes and compensation plans.Monitor the market to observe emerging trends and competition.Work with Branding and Marketing teams to develop advertising strategy and promotional activities.QualificationsBachelors degree preferred but not required5+ years of outside sales preferably inconsumer packagedgoods (food & beverage, preferred)2+ years direct people management experienceKnowledge of cannabis industry, regulations, markettrendsand competition highly preferredDemonstrated experience of exceeding sales quotasProven ability to build and execute a sales strategy to generate and develop new businessExperience of P&L and budget managementWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office toolsExperience working in sales management systems (i.e.Salesforce)Highly motivated, self-directed,innovativeand able to work independently or among teams with keen judgement, commonsenseand resourcefulnessAdapts and thrives in a demanding,fast-paced environmentPossessesa high levelof critical thinkingOperates witha high levelof professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential informationMust understand andcomply withthe rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of Green ThumbMust have a solid understanding of theCannabislaws,rules and regulationsand passion to further their understanding and knowledge of the industry and the laws.Additional RequirementsMust passany and allrequired background checksMust be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industryMust possess valid driver's licenseMust be a minimum of 21 years of ageMust be approved by state badging agency to work in cannabis industry#LI-REMOTE The pay range is competitive and based on experience, qualifications, and/or location of the role. Positions may be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance. Green Thumb Pay Range $60,000—$80,000 USD
