Building Maintenance Technician

OverviewOur manufacturing client is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of their production facility. This role is responsible for maintaining the building, utilities, and facility systems to ensure minimal downtime and a safe working environment for employees.The ideal candidate is hands-on, mechanically inclined, and experienced supporting industrial or manufacturing facilities. Key ResponsibilitiesPerform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and general facility infrastructureTroubleshoot and repair facility-related issues to minimize disruptions to manufacturing operationsConduct regular inspections of the building, grounds, and equipment to identify maintenance needs and safety concernsCoordinate with outside contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or services as neededMaintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and documentationSupport facility upgrades, equipment installations, and continuous improvement initiativesEnsure compliance with safety standards, OSHA requirements, and company policies QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required; technical certification or vocational training preferred2+ years of building or facility maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environmentWorking knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenanceAbility to read basic technical diagrams, manuals, and work ordersStrong troubleshooting skills and attention to detailAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities Hourly Range: $28hr-$31hrBenefits:Health, dental, and vision, life, short/long term disability insurance401(k) offeringPaid time off and holidays (80 hours PTO)Paid sick leave where applicable by state law.LHH is a leader in permanent recruitment—and in the placement of top talent.
