Payroll Administrator

DescriptionWe are looking for a Payroll Administrator to support accurate and timely payroll operations for a multi-state employee population in Waldwick, New Jersey. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who can manage end-to-end payroll processing, maintain compliance with payroll regulations, and resolve payroll-related issues with precision. The role requires strong hands-on experience with payroll systems and the ability to handle payroll for an organization with 101 to 500 employees.Responsibilities:- Process end-to-end payroll for employees across multiple states, ensuring wages, deductions, and taxes are calculated correctly and delivered on schedule.- Maintain payroll records and audit payroll data regularly to confirm accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.- Use an in house payroll system to manage payroll transactions, review system inputs, and address discrepancies before final payroll submission.- Coordinate payroll updates involving new hires, terminations, compensation changes, bonuses, and other employee status adjustments.- Respond to employee questions related to pay, tax withholdings, deductions, and payroll corrections in a timely and thorough manner.- ARequirements - Demonstrated experience managing full-cycle payroll from data review through final processing and reporting.- Strong background in administering payroll for employees working in multiple states.- Experience handling payroll for organizations with an employee population ranging from 101 to 500 staff members.- Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now and confidence navigating payroll systems independently.- Solid understanding of payroll practices, tax withholding requirements, and payroll record accuracy.- High level of attention to detail, organizational ability, and problem-solving skills in a deadline-driven environment.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
