You'll also receive a full monthly schedule in advance, giving you better work-life balance than typical float positions.What You'll DoRoom patients, take vitals, and document medical historiesAssist with X-rays, casting (on/off), and wound careSupport procedures including suture/staple removal and dressing changesTrain on specialized skills like custom brace molding and diabetic shoe fittingsManage charting, orders, medical records, and prior authorizationsProvide both clinical (80%) and administrative (20%) supportCollaborate with multiple teams to ensure seamless patient careWhat We're Looking ForAt least 2 years of hands-on Medical Assistant experience (required)Previous float experience strongly preferredExternship experience alone will not be consideredMA diploma or certification requiredComfortable working in different clinic environments and adapting quicklyExperience with EMR systemsWhat to ExpectSee 15-20 patients per day in a fast-paced settingWork at one location per day (no mid-shift travel)Receive training at all sites before floating independentlyOpportunity to expand your skill set with advanced clinical trainingDress CodeScrubs (any color/pattern) + closed-toe shoesBenefitsPaid Sick Leave (Medix provides paid sick leave according to state and local sick leave ordinances).Health Benefits / Dental / Vision (Medix offers 6 different health plans: 3 Major Medical Plans, 2 Fixed Indemnity Plans (Standard and Preferred), and 1 Minimum Essential Coverage (MEC) Plan.
