Description: The LDM provides data management for laboratory data on assigned studies & projects. The LDM assists with requirement design and testing for laboratory software. Major duties and responsibilities:Manages laboratory data for several clinical trial networks & projects:Assists the Protocol Data Manager (PDM) to develop specimen tracking forms in Medidata RaveManages external data transfers from laboratoriesAssists in the development of study data management and data review plansSets up reports or works with software engineer to design reports for tracking completeness of stored specimens and assay results;Identifies and sends queries for missing lab data, missing specimens, or other discrepant data issuesCoordinates specimen shipping and destruction requestsCoordinates data requestsDefines requirements and performs testing of software and data transformationsConfigures laboratory software during study start upCommunicates the status of laboratory data and specimen inventory to the study teamAttends and contributes to study team meetingsStores essential documents in the Trial Master File (TMF)Participates in working groups & staff meetingsReviews and contributes to internal documentation (e.g. SOPs, work instructions)Ongoing training (required training, optional growth trainings)Occasional travel (e.g., yearly network meetings)Performs other duties as needed, as assigned by management Reports to: Laboratory Data Division Chief Controls over position:The LDM is assigned studies and projects by the Laboratory Data Division Chief and by the Lead LDMs. The LDM will perform laboratory data management duties as defined in Frontier Science SOPs, network or project SOPs, or as requested by their study teams. Required qualifications:Bachelor's Degree, preferably in biology, laboratory science, or other health related discipline0-1 years relevant, prior work experienceExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to build effective relationships with external laboratory staff and colleaguesStrong working knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel, and excellent overall technical skillsExcellent organizational and problem-solving skillsDetail-oriented, resourceful, positive and professional demeanorAbility to work with people from diverse backgroundsAbility to work independently, multi-task, adapt to changing priorities, perform job duties with minimal guidance, and meet deadlines Preferred qualifications:Clinical trials experienceKnowledge of database management systemsLaboratory experience With full time employment at Frontier Science, employees are eligible for medical and dental insurance, a generous Paid Time Off (PTO) policy, short term and long term disability, life insurance, participation in a retirement plan, as well as fitness club reimbursement, computer loan assistance, and tuition reimbursement.
