Job Title:Legal Billing Specialist / Billing Clerk (Onsite)📍 Location:Roseland, NJ💰 Compensation:$55,000 – $65,000 annually (depending on experience)🏢 Overview:A growing law firm is seeking a detail-oriented Legal Billing Specialist / Billing Clerk to join its Roseland, NJ office. This is a full-time, onsite role offering hands-on experience in legal billing and accounting within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.This position is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills who is looking to build or further develop a career in legal billing or accounting.🎯 Key Responsibilities:Prepare and process client invoices for legal services, ensuring accuracy and compliance with billing guidelinesGenerate and review pre-bills, coordinating with attorneys and staff for edits and approvalsReview and edit time entries for proper coding, billing rates, and adherence to client requirementsAccurately enter billing data into the firm’s billing systemServe as a liaison between attorneys, administrative staff, and accounting to resolve billing issuesRespond to client billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely, professional mannerGenerate billing and financial reports as neededReview and manage retainer balances, applying them appropriately to invoicesAssist with additional accounting and administrative tasks as needed✅ Qualifications:High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in accounting, business, or related field preferredPrior legal billing or accounting experience is a plus, but not required (training provided)Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); billing software experience is a plusStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication skills and a client-service mindsetAbility to work both independently and collaborativelyEagerness to learn and grow within legal billing and accounting🏢 Work Setup:100% onsiteBased in Roseland, NJ🎁 Compensation & Benefits:Competitive base salary ($55K–$65K)Discretionary year-end bonuses and merit-based increasesComprehensive benefits package including:Medical, dental, and vision insuranceLife and disability coverage401(k) retirement planPaid time off and additional voluntary benefits
