Senior Accountant

DescriptionOur team is seeking a Senior Accountant for a 6-month contract assignment onsite in Stamford. This role will play a key part in supporting the finance department's core accounting activities and month-end close, with a focus on leveraging NetSuite and advanced Excel skills to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.Key Responsibilities:+ Lead and perform month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals+ Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports in accordance with GAAP+ Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, researching and resolving discrepancies as needed+ Utilize NetSuite for transactional accounting, reporting, and process improvements+ Develop and maintain complex Excel reports and models (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, advanced formulas)+ Support internal and external audit requests, providing necessary analysis and documentation+ Assist with process improvements and automation initiatives within accounting workflows+ Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, operations, and other business partners to resolve issues and ensure accurate financial datRequirementsQualifications:+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field+ 3+ years of experience in accounting, with demonstrated experience as a Senior Accountant+ Hands-on experience with NetSuite (required)+ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, advanced formulas)+ Strong understanding of US GAAP and internal controls+ Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills+ Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment+ Ability to work onsite in Stamford for the duration of the contractInterested in making an immediate impact with a reputable company?
