Come join us in our mission to change the hospitality industry, forever.The RoleAs a Prep Cook for our culinary and pastry team, you'll get to learn from a seasoned Pastry Chef & Executive Chef; you'll prep savory and pastry goods, executing the Pastry Chef's vision while honing your skills.What We Will Ask Of You:Prepare all savory and baked good items on the menu using our Standard Recipe Card for preparation of all productsAdhere to standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures and perform other related duties as assigned by the Pastry Chef or manager-on-dutyComplete a Daily Prep List and Closing Checklist for each shift for assigned duties while maintaining a clean and sanitary work station, adhering to all DHEC regulations; this includes tables, shelves, walls, ovens, pastry/dessert equipment and refrigeration equipmentPromptly report all product shortages, equipment problems or food quality issues to Pastry Chef or Executive ChefPrepares and portions a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipmentUnderstands and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies, and procedures.Requirements For Success:A minimum of one year experience in a pastry kitchen or line cook experience, preparing and cookingHave a positive energy, be ready to assist fellow support staff and work as a team playerMust be able to speak, read and understand basic baking and cooking directionsAbility to communicate effectively with managers, employees, and all guestsA flexible schedule to work days, nights, weekends and holidaysAbility to work 5am-1pm shift or 6am-2pm shiftConstant standing/walking with occasional stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, or liftingBenefits:Competitive salary and benefits package.Opportunity to be part of a dynamic and growing hospitality team.Fast-paced and rewarding work environment.The above job description is not an exhaustive list of all the duties and responsibilities of the position, nor should it be construed as a contract.The Indigo Road Hospitality Group is an equal opportunity employer.
