Company Description Conway Toe2Toe is a self-defense training company specializing in kickboxing, jiu-jitsu, Filipino kali/escrima and firearms. We typical manage kids age 4-6, kids age 7-12, teens and adults as our primary client base. We also serve adults of legal age in armed self-defense. While we are based in Conway Arkansas, we have affiliate programs in South Carolina, Georgia, North Carolina, Michigan and West Virginia. Our vision statement is "Changing lives through martial arts" and our mission statement is to provide the best quality self-defense program for real world encounters with highly trained instructors and cutting edge systems.Role Description The Assistant Instructor role at Conway Toe2Toes is a part-time, on-site position based in at 807 Bill Dean Drive Conway, AR. This role supports lead instructors and training staff by helping prepare educational materials, organizing classroom resources, and assisting with the delivery of training sessions and workshops. Day-to-day responsibilities may include setting up instructional spaces, maintaining attendance and training records, supporting participants with questions, and reinforcing learning objectives through guided activities. The Assistant Instructor collaborates closely with our clientele and our business partners as well as our administrative teams to ensure training content is accurate, engaging, and aligned with the Conway Toe2Toe standards of care. This position also helps maintain a welcoming, inclusive learning environment and participates in continuous improvement of training processes.QualificationsA love for teaching/training kids, teens and adult is mandatory because attitude is essential.A minimum of 5 years of Muay Thai, Karate, Tae Kwon Do, or Filipino martial art is best, but we will train a strong candidate with only 3 years of experience.A minimum of 5 years of Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), Judo, Sambo, or Wrestling is best but we will train a strong candidate with only 3 years of experience.Strong instructional support skills, including assisting with lesson delivery, organizing learning materials, and managing classroom or training logistics.Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage participants, collaborate with instructors, and work with affiliate companies and administrative teams.Organizational and time-management abilities to handle schedules, track attendance, and maintain accurate training documentation and records.Comfort with basic technology and digital tools commonly used in training environments, such as point of sale systems (POS), presentation software, learning platforms, and video conferencing tools.Demonstrated commitment to creating an inclusive, respectful learning environment and supporting diverse learners.Ability to follow established protocols, maintain confidentiality, and uphold professional and ethical standards in a healthcare setting.Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Social Sciences, or a related discipline is beneficial but not required.
