The Assistant Project Manager's (APM) role is to assist the Project Manager with the planning, directing and coordination of construction activities to complete a successful project. The APM is expected to maintain the project documentation and communicate with clients, architects, city officials, subcontractors and vendors during the course of the project to ensure the project is built per plans and specification and within the defined schedule and budget. Since we are a 3 party GC and do not self-perform any of the work, the APM should have a general knowledge of all scopes of work to effectively perform his/her duties.QualificationsProficiency in Project Management and experience assisting in the oversight of various project phases.Review and process Subcontractor and Owner change orders.Review, prepare, submit and track RFIs, Submittals and other Architect/Owner supplemental informationStrong organizational and time management skills to succeed in a fast-paced environment.Effective communication skills for collaboration with project teams, subcontractors and owners.Proficiency in construction project management software.Previous experience in construction with multifamily projects a plus.Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
