Genesis10 is currently seeking a Teradata Developer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Plano, TX or Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.This role will focus on developing, enhancing, and maintaining applications within Financial Crimes technology. The ideal candidate will work closely with business partners to define requirements, design, code, and test programs, utilizing in-depth knowledge to recommend innovations and provide direction from a data perspective through the full development lifecycle.Responsibilities:Develop complex requirements for enhancing, modifying, and maintaining applications to accomplish business goalsDesign, code, test, debug, and document programs and support activities for application maintenanceContribute to story refinement, define requirements, and estimate work necessary to realize a storyPerform proof of concepts as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideasSet up and automate the continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelineHandle technical aspects of the application, including Change Management, Maintenance, and Platform UpgradesPartner with the business to develop plans, including ongoing success measures, to sustain changeAnalyze present-state, develop alternative future-state approaches, and facilitate implementationRequirements:BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or any quantitative discipline10+ years of applicable experienceExperience in Teradata 16.x, SQL/BTEQ scripting, TPT, Informatica 10.x, UNIX Shell scripting, and AutosysExperience with Cloudera CDP, Hadoop (Hive, Impala, PySpark, Scala) and Data analysisStrong data sourcing, data modeling, and provisioning skills to support large scale AML monitoring and surveillance data assetsExperience with database intensive development, data migrations, and conversionsKnowledge and experience working with SQL performance tuningGood experience in SDLC, Agile, Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) with tools like Jira, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, and AnsibleGood knowledge of Unix and development of shell scriptsEffective communication and listening skillsDesired skills:Business knowledge in financial domains related to Anti-Money Laundering and Financial CrimesPay range: $55.06 - $63.06 per hourOnly candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.If you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, please apply!Benefits of Working with Genesis10:Access to hundreds of clients, most who have been working with Genesis10 for 5-20+ years.The opportunity to have a career-home in Genesis10; many of our consultants have been working exclusively with Genesis10 for years.Access to an experienced, caring recruiting team (more than 7 years of experience, on average.)Behavioral Health PlatformMedical, Dental, VisionHealth Savings AccountVoluntary Hospital Indemnity (Critical Illness & Accident)Voluntary Term Life Insurance401KSick Pay (for applicable states/municipalities)Commuter Benefits (Dallas, NYC, SF, and Illinois)Genesis10 is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
