Validation Engineer

DescriptionThe Validation or Mechanical Engineer will utilize Creo to view, spin, and review 3D models and drawings, and take basic measurements as needed to support design evaluation and communication. Use appropriate databases and systems to properly store and release components. Work closely with suppliers, purchasing, quality, and analysis to ensure the system meets and is optimized for cost, quality, and delivery needs. Conduct DQRs (Drawing Quality Reviews) with suppliers. Ensure proper fit of parts considering DVA (Dimensional Variation Analysis) and physical fit checks of parts. Participate in peer reviews of models and drawings and support design reviews as needed.Maintain appropriate component spares for future testing. Provide build instructions, teardown instructions, and test plans. Provide components for build. Ensure appropriate instrumentation of components. Inspect component teardowns and document results in PAL (Product Assessment Library) or in teardown report. Disposition parts after testing. Review parts in warehouse for disposition. Attend test planning meeting. Respond quickly to any test cell needs.
