At Custom Millwork, you’ll be part of a team that takes pride in craftsmanship, values innovation, and is committed to excellence in everything we do.Role DescriptionWe are seeking a full-time, on-site Purchasing Representative to join our team in North St. Paul, MN. This role is responsible for sourcing and procuring millwork materials, doors, and hardware, as well as managing purchase orders and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality products.Key responsibilities include maintaining strong supplier relationships, monitoring and managing inventory levels, and collaborating closely with internal team members to support project requirements and deadlines.This position plays a vital role in ensuring materials are ordered accurately, competitively priced, and delivered on schedule. The ideal candidate has experience with millwork products, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrates strong attention to detail while managing multiple orders and vendor relationships simultaneously.Qualifications & Key Responsibilities Source and purchase millwork products including doors, trim, hardware, and specialty itemsReview sales orders for accuracy and issue vendor purchase ordersCoordinate with vendors on pricing, availability, and lead timesTrack open purchase orders to ensure on-time deliveryCommunicate order updates, delays, and substitutions with sales teamsResolve discrepancies related to orders, shipments, and invoicesMaintain strong supplier relationships and monitor pricing trends for cost-saving opportunities2+ years of experience in purchasing, estimating, or inside sales in millwork, lumber, or building materialsStrong knowledge of millwork and residential constructionHigh attention to detail and strong organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication and customer service skillsBachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred
