Job Summary: WET is seeking a full-time self-motivated Marketing Specialist who will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing conferences and community events from start to finish, requiring exceptional attention to detail and a creative, solution-oriented mindset. This role manages all aspects of conference logistics, including schedules, calls for abstracts, hotel coordination, staff registration, invitations, pre‑ and post‑conference communications, booth setup and staffing, exhibitor scheduling, supplies, swag inventory, lead tracking, and marketing materials. The position also coordinates blood and food drives, regional office events, external training activities, and other community initiatives, with occasional travel primarily within Montana and Wyoming. Success in this role depends on precise, professional writing and clear communication, as accurate messaging and documentation are critical at every stage. The ideal candidate is highly organized, thrives in a fast‑paced environment, and brings strong problem‑solving skills, event or conference planning experience, and a creative eye for detail to ensure events are seamless, well‑executed, and impactful. Key Responsibilities: Assist with proposal assembly and efforts. Ensure all marketing materials, technical reports, and proposals are completed using WET’s approved style standards. Edit proposals for grammatical errors, typos, and formatting. Strong creative writing skills (grant writing experience is a bonus) Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with WET team. Organize and coordinate marketing events (i.e., booth setup, content preparation, scheduling efforts). Create, design, and produce effective marketing/training videos and other media for internal and external use. Assist with all other marketing tasks as assigned. Devise and evaluate methods and procedures for collecting data, such as surveys, opinion polls, or questionnaires, or arrange to obtain existing data. Measure the effectiveness of marketing, advertising, and communications programs and strategies. Seek and provide information to help WET determine their position in the marketplace. Gather data on competitors and analyze their prices, sales, and method of marketing and distribution. Monitor industry statistics and follow trends in trade literature. Develop and implement procedures for identifying advertising needs. Travel to WET job sites, and other WET offices, as necessary. Always be safety conscious. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College or University. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a related field is required. Valid Driver’s License and insurability under company policy required. Preferred Knowledge, Skills and abilities: Detailed planning and execution of community events and conferences year-round. A tendency to be creative, inventive, imaginative, and to adopt new perspectives. Excellent verbal and written communication skills that may include public speaking and presentations. Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods. This includes alternative ways to inform and entertain via written, oral, and visual media. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Work well independently as well as with teams. Proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite or related software. Work Environment: Combination of office work and attending events. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift 15 pounds. Will require periodic travel to job sites. Compensation and Benefits: Wages will range from $23 - $30 hourly and will be based on the successful candidate’s specific qualifications and experience.
