This position will be responsible for installing and assembling new machines and equipment. Maintaining a preventative maintenance schedule for inspecting, servicing, and testing machinery. This position hours are typically between 6:00am-11:00pm. Hours may vary depending on the needs of the business.WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH\n\nSupervise and lead a team of maintenance mechanics during shift operations to ensure efficient and safe equipment maintenance.\nPerform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on quarry equipment including crushers, conveyors, and heavy machinery.\nEnsure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in all maintenance activities.\nOversee and execute preventive maintenance tasks to reduce equipment downtime and extend the life of machinery.\nMaintain accurate records of maintenance tasks, repairs, and parts inventory.\nCollaborate with quarry management to prioritize repair schedules and minimize production disruptions.\nTrain, mentor, and develop junior maintenance personnel to enhance team skills and performance.\nMonitor and manage the inventory of spare parts and tools to ensure availability and prevent delays.\nRespond to urgent equipment breakdowns and coordinate emergency repairs to minimize downtime.\nConduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery to identify potential issues before they cause significant problems.\nDemonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.\n\nWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR\nEducation: High School Diploma or EquivalentField of Study Preferred: Preferably a technical degree or certification in mechanical engineering, industrial maintenance, or a related field, along with specialized training in quarry equipment and machinery.Required Work Experience: Minimum 3 years \n\nA strong background in maintaining and repairing heavy equipment, particularly those used in quarry operations (e.g., crushers, conveyors, haul trucks, and hydraulic systems).\nExperience in leading and supervising a team of mechanics, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and safely while maintaining high work standards.\nThe ability to quickly identify issues with equipment, diagnose mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic failures, and implement effective solutions.\nKnowledge of safety regulations (such as OSHA) and the ability to ensure the team follows proper safety protocols to avoid accidents and injuries.\nA detailed-oriented approach to conducting regular inspections and ensuring that equipment is operating efficiently, identifying potential issues before they result in failure.\nA track record of implementing and overseeing preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the life of quarry machinery.\nStrong ability to communicate with both management and team members to coordinate tasks, report issues, and manage schedules effectively.\nThe ability to handle unexpected mechanical issues and respond quickly to emergency breakdowns, minimizing production disruptions.\nA detailed-oriented approach to conducting regular inspections and ensuring that equipment is operating efficiently, identifying potential issues before they result in failure.\nAbility to maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, parts inventory, and equipment conditions, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with regulations.\n\nAdditional Requirements:\n\nSuccessful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
