Housekeeping Inspector
ABOUT OUR ROLE As a Housekeeping Inspector at Trailborn Surf and Sound, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and overall appearance of our guest rooms and public areas. You will lead a team of housekeeping staff to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization, ensuring that our guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Your attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks will be essential in this role. You will report directly to the Director of Housekeeping/Housekeeping Manager and work closely with Room Attendants, House Attendants and other departments as needed to ensure a seamless guest experience. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Responsibilities: Monitor and oversee housekeeping team members in assigned sections to ensurehigh standardsof cleanliness, efficiency, and rooms standards are consistentlymaintaineddaily Inspect guest rooms, public areas and other areas as assigned to ensure they meet our standards of cleanliness and presentation (including minibar) prior to declaring the rooms Vacant Inspected Ensure all carts, linen closets, storage closets, corridors are well kept,organizedandmaintainstandards on assigned floors Collaborate with other department leaders and inspectors to ensure guest needs are met and exceeded Report defects or deficiencies in all rooms, corridors, landings, closets toappropriate teamsvia use ofHotSos Correct deficiencies through coaching of team andassistingwith completion of rooms cleaning/room attendant boards as needed Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in housekeeping or related field Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a hotel or resort setting Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety procedures Ability to speak multiple languages PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to remain upright continuously on a firm surface for an 8–10-hour shift. Must be able to move at least 20 pounds up to 5 feet high without another person's aid. Requires manual dexterity, grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, and climbing. Must be able to ascend to 12 feet in height on a ladder.
