Job Title – Embedded Automation EngineerLocation - Auburn Hills, MIJob Type - Full - TimeJob SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Python & MATLAB Engineer responsible for developing, implementing, testing, and maintaining software solutions, mathematical models, simulations, and data-analysis tools using Python and MATLAB. The ideal candidate should have strong programming and analytical skills, with the ability to translate engineering and business requirements into reliable and efficient technical solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, test, debug, and maintain applications and analytical tools using Python and MATLAB.Design and implement mathematical models, algorithms, simulations, and numerical methods.Perform data processing, analysis, visualization, and interpretation.Develop automation scripts and tools to improve engineering and operational workflows.Integrate Python and MATLAB solutions with databases, APIs, hardware, or other software systems where required.Conduct simulation, modeling, optimization, and performance analysis.Troubleshoot technical issues and improve the reliability and efficiency of existing solutions.Prepare technical documentation, reports, test cases, and project documentation.Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, researchers, and cross-functional teams.Participate in code reviews, testing, validation, and quality-assurance activities.Stay updated with relevant programming languages, frameworks, numerical methods, and engineering technologies.Required QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Data Science, or a related field.Strong programming knowledge in Python and MATLAB.Good understanding of algorithms, data structures, numerical computing, and problem-solving.Experience with Python libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, SciPy, or equivalent.Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, numerical analysis, or scientific computing.Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.Good written and verbal communication skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience with machine learning, data analysis, optimization, or simulation.Knowledge of Git/GitHub and software development practices.Familiarity with SQL, databases, APIs, or cloud technologies.Experience with MATLAB Simulink, Stateflow, or other engineering simulation tools.Knowledge of software testing and version-control methodologies.
