Construction Manager

Job Title: Construction ManagerDuration: 12 months Contract (Possibility Of Extension) Location: Alma, MI 48801(Onsite)Pay rate: $37-42/Hour on w2 without any benefits/holiday/vacation.NOTE: Two roles; seeking a candidate on the North side of MI and one on the South side of MI. Work location will be determined by business needs. Work will require travel to different substation sites statewide. Per diem will not be offered for this role.Job Summary: The Construction Manager (CM) is responsible for monitoring and managing the safety, scope, cost and schedule during the construction phase for a project and reports directly to the Manager of Construction Management (MCM). All project team members, including contracted employees, assigned to the construction phase of a project report to the CM. The CM, with appropriate subject matter experts’ input, assures that the project construction adheres to applicable codes and specifications either company generated or industry standards. Oversees onsite construction - monitors project safety, scope, quality, risk, schedule, and budget. Reports progress daily to the MCM. Supervises contract inspectors and resolves issues including material, construction and scheduling conflicts. Ensures as built redline drawings are submitted to Engineering. Accompanying high value asset transportation to and from different company locations. Performing Soil Erosion and Sedimentation Control inspections in accordance with the Stormwater Management Certification protocol.The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
