Software Engineer

Full-stack Web/API Developer, TypeScript, React/Next.js, Node.js Description As a Software Engineer, you will play a key role on our cross-functional development Scrum teams. Our development work includes green field projects as well as expanding a diverse line of best-in-industry products for the resale market. The primary products are cloud-based SaaS applications supported by cross-platform mobile and desktop applications. This position has primary responsibility for designing, building, and supporting responsive web / mobile applications and API-first, distributed back-end services. Requirements Full-stack Web / API development TypeScript / JavaScript, Next.js / React on Node.js, HTML, CSS Front-end design and development Back-end API design and development Integrating with 3rd-party services via APIs (RESTful, GraphQL, Etc.) and SDKs Designing and using relational databases like MySQL Best practices such as unit testing, version control (GIT), etc. Desirables Experience with scalable application architecture and design Knowledge of message brokers like RabbitMQ Leveraging in-memory databases like Redis and object stores like AWS S3 Experience with JetBrains’ tool suite (IntelliJ, DataGrip, Etc.) Familiar with AWS cloud services Familiarity with mobile applications development in React Native for iOS and Android. Qualifications Experience with the entire product development lifecycle. Agile / Scrum / Kanban practitioner Participate in architecture and design sessions. Likes to mentor other team members. A life-time learner that desires to be mentored and to learn from other team members. Top-notched programming skills and a track record of getting things done. 3-4+ years software development using TypeScript, JavaScript, Java and/or C#. A passion for customers and driving customer feedback into a product. Strong written and verbal communication, people, and collaboration skills Education BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent industry experience
