Community Recreation Supervisor

JOB About the Position Under the direction of the Recreation Manager, the incumbent in this position will define, plan, develop, coordinate and implement a variety of recreational and educational offerings and activities, to include sports, fitness, events, memberships, summer aquatics and cultural arts opportunities across the city. This position will supervise and schedule assigned staff and be responsible for the overall planning, development, promotion and coordination of community recreation programs, as guided by the Parks Recreation and Open Space Plan and community feedback. This position maintains day to day oversight of all aspects of the SeaTac Community Center and direct reports, control of assigned budget, ensures offerings are accessible to the SeaTac community via scholarship and language access, works with a variety of community partners who assist with service delivery and tracks program performance. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES Define recreational opportunities and gaps in the city, as guided by the Recreation Manager, market analysis, recreational trends, community feedback and Parks, Recreation and Open Space (PROS) plan. EPlan, develop, coordinate, and implement recreational and educational opportunities city wide, in a variety of locations for assigned City populations, including youth, teens, families and special populations. EEvaluate and report on the effectiveness of all recreational programs and modify offerings according to data and community interest. EDevelop and implement surveys; incorporate feedback into the evaluation process. Monitor and schedule facility use by participant groups; work with risk and legal for a variety of contracts, MOUs/MOAs. EProvide rental information space to patrons; work in conjunction with the Park Operations Administrative Assistant to ensure coverage for rentals.
