No matter what stage of your career, you can build your future at Tempur Sealy!General Job DescriptionResponsible for putting a roll of borders (mattress sidewall cloth) on a spindle for a cutting machine. The rolls are 25-50 pounds. Handles are loaded to feed shuts at the top of the machine. The operator enters the product number on a touch screen and the machine will attach handles and cuts the border to length. The operator will then sew the border closed and move to a storage cart.Physical Job DutiesNOTE: Based on an 8-hour workday - "Occasional" = 1% to 33%, "Frequent" = 33% to 60%, "Continuous" = 66% to 100%Continuous walking short distances within the workstation.Frequent repetitive use of hands/arms while loading the machine, entering product numbers, and operating the sewing machine.Occasional bending over while moving border roles.Occasional overhead reaching while loading machine with components.Occasional pushing and pulling of rolls and borders.Occasional repetitive use of one foot to operate the sewing machine.Occasional grasping of border edges, paperwork, and scissors while closing the border.Occasional lifting and carrying of border rolls weighing up to 50 pounds.Occasional fine manipulation required to adjust the machine.Tempur Sealy is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
