There is a possibility of working an 8-hour swing. The Tomahawk Mill is a 24-hour operation; candidates must be able to work any assigned rotating shifts and be available on short notice of overtime.Basic QualificationsPosition requires minimum age 18High School Diploma or G.E.DWork any assigned rotating shifts including weekends, holidays and overtimeAt least two years of full or part-time work in the last four yearsAbility to read, write and speak in EnglishMust possess a valid driver's licenseSatisfactory completion of background check and drug screenMust be authorized to work in the U.S.Preferred QualificationsPulp & Paper industry experience preferred.At least 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing, warehouse, equipment or process operations and equivalent skills in an industrial manufacturing environment.The successful candidate must possess the following Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Ability to be able to work well under pressure and within time constraints, multi-task, and build sound relationships with both internal and external customersAbility to exhibit excellent communication, analytical, organizational and computer skillsCapable of independently making sound decisions through creative problem-solving, ambiguity and changeAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple requests simultaneouslyAbility to read and understand technical correspondence, memos, instructions, and reportsTests And Board InterviewThose selected to go through the PCA hiring process will be asked to take a series of computer tests and take part in a structured board interview.The Tests Are All Timed And InvolveBasic mechanical principlesBasic arithmetic skillsThe ability to visualize three-dimensional figuresThe ability to compare numbers or patterns quickly and accuratelyBasic verbal abilityThe interview will be conducted by a four-person board and involves a review of each candidate’s:Work historyAchievements and accomplishmentsKnowledge and skill acquisitionInterpersonal skills and helpfulnessTask-related likes and dislikesPhysical demands experienced on previous jobsPCA provides a competitive comprehensive benefits package.Starting Wage: $29.83 per hourWage increases between $33.13-$37.30 per hour once trained on bottom job in dept.Compensation And BenefitsStarting salary for position: $29.83 per hour. Paid Vacation: Based on the USW contractual agreement. Paid Holidays: Once you are a part of the union and based on the USW contractual agreement. An employee is eligible for benefits - medical, dental, and vision - the first of the month following their date of hire. New hires are automatically enrolled in life, AD&D, and disability coverages.
