We hope so.Overview of the roleThe Assistant Property Manager is a unique position responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of Mainsail Vacation Rentals. They will be responsible for Concierge Services, Front Desk, Room Inspections, as well as Property Maintenance and upkeep.In 2009 Mainsail Beach Inn opened with 12 luxury condo units on Anna Maria Island. This beachfront property is ideally located in the center of Anna Maria Island just steps from the beach. Today, Mainsail Vacation Rentals draws from this hospitality legacy, blending the best vacation rentals on Anna Maria Island with resort amenities and outstanding service.What You HaveExperience in vacation rental systems, or hospitality related maintenance fieldExcellent communication skills, in written and verbal formatsStrong customer service skillsLocal Area KnowledgeTechnology skills. The ability to use tablets, iPads, and computersEagerness to work on a team and achieve goals and complete projects togetherBasic knowledge in air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, electronic systems, fire alarm systems, carpentry, kitchen equipment, and energy conservation. Ability to work long hours if neededA strong sense of ownership in everything that you doReliable transportation and clean driving recordHigh school diploma, equivalent, or higherWhat You’ll DoHandle and complete guest requests in a timely fashionDo periodic property tours and exterior perimeter for debris and trash removal, lighting examination, and landscaping checkupReport emergencies and safety hazard immediately and assist with safety concernsAssist with concierge services and creating memorable guest experiencesAssist with coordination of vendors including but not limited to repairs, scheduled maintenance, and housekeeping services. Daily use of Property Management systems including Escapia, PointCentral and BreezewayKeep property grounds clean and well maintainedKeep interior property clean and well maintainedCommunication with guests and property ownersActively engage and promote safety and safe work practices, interdepartmentally and hotel wideCommunicate daily activities and work orders to other shifts using approved communication methods and standardsConduct daily inspections for all arriving guestsMaintain Open communication with Mainsail Reservations DepartmentAssist guests with recreational activities including but not limited to beach chair setup, paddle boards, bike rentals, and kayak rentalsInteract with hotel guests to resolve maintenance issues in a professional and courteous matter that is align with Mainsail standardsRetain detailed inventory of all needed housekeeping supplies and amenities for monthly/quarterly orderingMotivate, coach, counsel and discipline all personnel according to progressive discipline guidelinesComply with Mainsail Lodging and Development’s standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operationsDirect Reports will include but not limited to: Maintenance Technicians, Outsourced Housekeeping CompanyOther necessary duties as assigned by reasonably assignedPhysical DemandAbility to sit or stand for extended periods of timeAbility to bend Ability to lift, pull 50 lbs.
