Marketing Specialist
SUMMARY
The Marketing Specialist is responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating marketing initiatives that support business objectives. This role performs professional‑level marketing work directly related to the company’s general business operations and exercises independent judgment in analyzing data, recommending strategies, and prioritizing marketing activities. The Marketing Specialist collaborates cross‑functionally and contributes to decisions impacting brand visibility, customer engagement, and sales effectiveness.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Plans, develops, and evaluates marketing initiatives that align with company objectives, brand strategy, and sales priorities.
Exercises independent judgment in analyzing market trends, customer data, and campaign performance to recommend adjustments and improvements to marketing strategies.
Leads the development of marketing content and messaging, including determining appropriate formats, channels, and timing to effectively reach target audiences.
Manages website and digital content strategy by evaluating performance metrics and making recommendations for optimization and continuous improvement.
Manages Weiler Gear program for employee and customer purchasing including ordering, inventory management and order fulfillment.
Analyzes CRM, sales and marketing data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, provides reports to sales team.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures and safety guidelines.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Potential for limited travel to industry trade shows, dealer events, etc.
Estimated to be less than 10% travel.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
At least two years of prior experience in a marketing role.
Working knowledge of heavy equipment preferred.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to read, write and comprehend documents and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information to internal and external individuals and groups.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Microsoft 365 including, but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software preferred.
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS
Ability to apply and execute time management tactics to maximize efficiency.
Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics.
Ability to learn relevant products and industry trade.
Ability to apply basic mechanical and technical aptitude
