Project Engineer

Insight Global is seeking a Project Engineer to support a growing engineering team in St. Louis. This individual will work closely with Project Managers to support project execution across civil and structural projects, including roadway, bridge, and large-scale development work. The ideal candidate has strong technical experience, can manage scopes, schedules, and budgets, and is comfortable working cross-functionally throughout the project lifecycle.Key Responsibilities:Support Project Managers in planning, scheduling, and execution of engineering projectsDevelop and review project scopes, budgets, and schedules to ensure alignment with requirementsCoordinate with engineers, technicians, and cross-functional teams to drive project deliverablesReview project documents for quality, accuracy, and compliance with standardsAssist in proposal development and technical documentation for new projectsLead or support project meetings and communicate updates with clients and stakeholdersEnsure projects meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirementsStay up to date on new engineering practices, tools, and technologiesSupport both civil and structural project work (roads, bridges, utilities, and developments)Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (ABET accredited)4+ years of relevant engineering experience (or equivalent at Staff Engineer level)Experience supporting project scope, schedule, and budget managementStrong understanding of civil or structural engineering principlesProficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, or similar toolsProficiency with Microsoft Office SuitePreferred Qualifications:Professional Engineer (PE) license or actively working toward licensure (EIT candidates encouraged)Experience with roadway, bridge, utility, or large-scale development projectsMembership in professional or technical organizationsExperience leading meetings or presenting to clientsAdditional Notes:Hybrid flexibility (2 days remote, 3 onsite) after initial ramp-up period and manager approvalOpportunity to support large-scale, multi-block development projects
