AWS DevOps EngineerCGI is seeking a skilled AWS DevOps Engineer with strong experience in cloud automation, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and AWS platform operations. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who thrives in building secure, scalable, and reliable cloud environments while enabling faster and more consistent application delivery. You will work on automating cloud infrastructure, supporting deployment pipelines, improving operational reliability, and collaborating with application, architecture, security, and data engineering teams in AWS environments. This role can be performed from Lafayette, LA or Bloomfield, CT in a hybrid model.The AWS DevOps Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, automating, deploying, and supporting AWS cloud infrastructure and DevOps processes. The role requires strong hands-on experience with AWS services, CI/CD pipeline automation, Infrastructure as Code, cloud monitoring, security best practices, and production support. The role requires hands-on configuration expertise, strong understanding of deployment lifecycle management, infrastructure automation, release processes, and the ability to support secure and reliable cloud-based environments.Key ResponsibilitiesDevOps Automation and CI/CDDesign, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deploymentsAutomate build, test, deployment, and release processesSupport pipeline tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, AWS CodeBuild, or similar toolsImplement deployment strategies including blue/green, rolling, and automated rollback approachesIntegrate code quality, security scanning, and automated testing into pipelinesTroubleshoot pipeline failures and deployment issuesAWS Infrastructure and Cloud OperationsDesign, provision, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure using DevOps best practicesSupport AWS services including, but not limited to: Amazon EC2, Amazon S3, IAM, VPC, AWS Lambda, Amazon CloudWatch, AWS CloudTrail, Amazon ECS/EKS, AWS CodePipeline/CodeBuild/CodeDeploy, AWS Secrets Manager / Parameter StoreConfigure networking, security groups, IAM roles, policies, and access controlsSupport scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant AWS environmentsImplement cloud cost optimization and resource utilization improvementsSupport environment provisioning, configuration, and release readinessInfrastructure as CodeDevelop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK, or similar toolsCreate reusable modules, templates, and automation scriptsManage infrastructure versioning, state management, and environment consistencyAutomate provisioning of compute, storage, networking, IAM, and monitoring resourcesEnsure infrastructure deployments follow security and governance standardsContainers and Deployment PlatformsBuild and support containerized workloads using DockerSupport container orchestration platforms such as Amazon ECS or Amazon EKSManage container images using Amazon ECR or similar registriesAutomate container build, scan, publish, and deployment processesSupport experience in IT, DevOps, cloud engineering, infrastructure, or software delivery5+ years of hands-on experience working in AWS cloud environmentsStrong experience designing, building, and supporting CI/CD pipelinesStrong hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDKExperience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, Lambda, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, ECS, EKS, and related servicesExperience with Git-based source control and branching strategiesExperience with scripting or automation using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar languagesExperience supporting application deployments in cloud environmentsStrong understanding of cloud networking, IAM, security groups, and access controlsExperience with monitoring, logging, Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $89,600.00 - $156,700.00.
