supporting attorneys through every phase of a personal injury case.The RoleAs a Personal Injury Legal Assistant, you will support attorneys and litigation teams throughout the lifecycle of personal injury matters—from intake and discovery through settlement negotiations and trial preparation.The ideal candidate has prior experience working in a U.S. personal injury practice, understands litigation workflows, and is comfortable managing multiple active cases simultaneously.Success in this role requires exceptional organization, strong written communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to proactively move cases forward with minimal supervision.Key ResponsibilitiesLitigation & Case PreparationAssist attorneys in preparing personal injury cases for litigation and trialDraft pleadings, motions, notices, correspondence, and other legal documentsPrepare trial exhibits, witness files, trial binders, and supporting documentationOrganize and maintain complete case files throughout all stages of litigationAssist attorneys with hearing, mediation, deposition, and trial preparationDiscovery Management Draft and prepare discovery requests and responses, including:InterrogatoriesRequests for ProductionRequests for AdmissionOrganize incoming discovery materials and supporting evidenceMaintain discovery databases and document repositoriesTrack discovery deadlines and ensure timely responsesMedical Records & Damages SupportRequest, obtain, organize, and review medical records and billing recordsSummarize treatment histories and medical documentationMaintain medical chronologies and damages summariesAssist with gathering expert reports and supporting evidenceCoordinate record requests with healthcare providers and medical facilitiesClient CommunicationServe as a primary point of contact for clients throughout their caseGather necessary documentation and information from clientsProvide case updates and explain next steps in the legal processSchedule meetings, depositions, medical appointments, and consultationsEnsure a positive client experience through responsive and professional communicationCourt Filings & Calendar Management Prepare and file legal documents with courts and administrative agenciesEnsure compliance with court rules, filing requirements, and deadlinesMaintain attorney calendars and insurance carriers and adjustersPrepare settlement documentation and case closing materialsSupport attorneys during settlement negotiations and resolution effortsAdministrative SupportMaintain accurate case records within the firm's case management systemManage document organization, scanning, and electronic filingMonitor incoming correspondence and route information appropriatelyAssist with general legal administrative duties as neededQualificationsRequired2+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant, Litigation Assistant, or Paralegal supporting U.S. law firmsExperience working within personal injury lawStrong understanding of litigation procedures and case workflowsExperience handling medical records and legal documentationExcellent written and verbal English communication skillsStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple active casesHigh attention to detail and deadline management skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and cloud-based legal systemsPreferredExperience supporting plaintiff-side personal injury firmsExperience drafting discovery requests and responsesFamiliarity with settlement demand preparationExperience with court filing
