Job Description✅ Do you feel comfortable working with kids ages 6-12?✅ Do you have flexible availability in the afternoon?✅ Are you familiar with popular games like Minecraft and Roblox?If you said yes to these questions, you may be our perfect candidate!We are seeking virtual hosts for our Ender Gaming Clubs, an after-school experience that allows kids to socialize and have fun in an adult-moderated environment. Hosting is a great “side hustle” for teachers and others in child-focused careers who are looking to supplement their income.Our clubs are hosted through the Ender website on our custom-built video calling platform, where kids interact face-to-face with our hosts and one-another. We have a custom Minecraft server which is deeply integrated with the video call and lets users swap between different voice channels from within the game, all while enjoying a variety of activities designed and built by our Minecraft hosts. We also host a variety of different experiences in our Roblox Club, from roleplaying to competitive games and beyond, ensuring that there’s something exciting to do for gamers of all kinds.Keep reading to learn more about this exciting job opportunity and find out how to apply!Company Overview: Ender is an ed-tech startup building an online gaming club focused on providing a safe, fun, and educational environment for children to play Minecraft and Roblox. With a web based voice platform built in-house where the club is facilitated and moderated, our hosts are key to ensuring a positive experience for all our members.Role Summary: As a host, you will moderate and engage with children in our online gaming environments, ensuring safety, fostering creativity, and promoting educational content. In addition to communicating with members through our proprietary voice and video meeting platform, you’ll also interact with them in-game to help troubleshoot problems and keep the fun going.Responsibilities:Monitor and moderate gaming sessions to ensure a safe and respectful environment. Engage with participants, encouraging creativity and learning. Follow and enforce club rules and guidelines. Address any issues or conflicts that arise during gaming sessions. Work in collaboration with other hosts to facilitate bespoke in-game events and activities. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their children's progress and behavior. Fill out reports at the end of each shift to share your insights and observations. Qualifications:Background in education and/or experience working with children. Experience in Minecraft and/or Roblox preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage and resolve conflicts effectively. Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm. Understanding of online safety protocols. Must have a working webcam and microphone. Candidates must consent to a background check.
