Job DescriptionAirClean SystemsJob Title: Material HandlerDepartment or Division: ShippingReports To: Director of ProcurementJob Summary:AirClean Systems has an immediate opportunity for a full-time Material Handler. AirClean Systems designs and manufactures ductless fume hoods, laminar flow hoods and related enclosures for institutions worldwide. Material Handlers are an integral part of the production team.Job Duties:Operate a ForkliftLocates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying items listed on production orders or billsPuts away palletized inventory items as needed, in an organized methodMaintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and suppliesAssists purchasing department with cycle counts and inventory controlTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Accountabilities:Duties are accomplished in a timely manner and deadlines are maintained and achievedFoster a team environment between shipping/receiving, operations, purchasing, and production to ensure corporate goals are achievedDevelop and maintain a creative environment for new ideas and inventionsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or GEDThree to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experiencePrevious inventory control/order picking experience a plusMust be able to work independently with little supervision as well as work well in a team environmentMust be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.Strong listening skills requiredAble to follow both simple and complex directionsStrong attention to detailsMust follow safety requirements for handling, lifting and moving materialsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSForklift experienceManufacturing/Warehouse experienceTerms of employment:This is a full-time, hourly position. Employment is at will.Hours:The general hours shall be 8:30am to 5:00pm with a one-half hour break for lunch. Employees are allowed one paid 15 minute break in the morning and another paid 15 minute break in the afternoon as long as work duties are covered appropriately.Work Environment:Work is regularly performed in a warehouse environment.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is frequently required to stand and/or walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit.
