In this role, you'll receive, inspect, process, and manage returned goods while ensuring all activities align with established SOPs, safety standards, and 5S practices. You'll also serve as a key resource for associates within the workflow, helping keep operations running smoothly and efficiently.Shift Time: 7AM - 4PM, Monday to FridayIn This RoleServe as the first point of contact for associates regarding operational questions, task clarification, and SOP guidanceSupport workflow continuity by helping resolve minor process and operational challengesReceive and offload inbound returned items in accordance with company SOPsInspect and document returned materials as requiredMaintain a clean, safe, and organized receiving area, including post-unload cleanupAccurately put away inventory into designated storage locations based on grading and product categorizationFollow all scanning, labeling, and documentation standardsMaintain organization and cleanliness throughout the putaway processManage inventory within the Returns department using proper scanning and tracking proceduresPerform cycle counts, audits, and inventory updates to ensure accuracyAssist in identifying and resolving inventory discrepanciesPick, stage, and load Outlet and Donation outbound orders following required SOPs and documentationEnsure products are handled with care and staged correctly for pickup or transferClean and reset work areas after outbound operationsSort recyclable materials by type (plastic, metal, wood, foam, etc.) and remove contaminants or hazardous itemsOperate recycling equipment such as balers, compactors, shredders, grinders, and forklifts (if trained)Maintain recycling work areas using 5S standards and assist with basic equipment upkeepOther duties as assigned, in accordance with training and qualificationsUphold the Core Values and be a valuable member of the Four Hands Team Be open and honestReach for excellenceAct with responsibilityValue the whole personEnjoy the journeyThe Ideal Person1+ year of warehouse or distribution center experienceHigh school diploma or GED requiredBasic computer skills and familiarity with warehouse systems or scannersStrong attention to detail with the ability to work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and move larger items with assistanceAbility to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks throughout the shiftWillingness to operate warehouse equipment (training provided)Commitment to safety and following established proceduresSteel-toed boots or shoes are required during work hoursAbout Four Hands Headquartered in Austin, Texas, since 1996, Four Hands crafts furniture, art and décor - pieces that are all about creating space.
