MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Software Engineer to join our team in Hollywood, FL. This is an onsite position.Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited ToEngage with Senior Engineers for design reviews, troubleshooting, and implementing technical solutions associated with US Navy related acoustics systemsPerforms a variety of moderately complex software and/or hardware engineering activities of an analysis, design, or test natureParticipates in project teamsPlans, conducts, and may supervise research, development, or installation of products and systems in conformance with engineering design and customer specificationDeployment, configuration, and use of hydrophones, sources and portable measurement/projection systems. Hands-on experience in the buildup, testing, debugging, and calibration of underwater acoustic systemsPerform detailed preparations, such as calibration injects, voltage measurements, current/resistance measurements, system integration, troubleshooting, compiling the data, and evaluating the resultsMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Ocean Engineering or similar degree3+ years of experience with both acoustics and signal processing, to include a thorough understanding of acoustic measurement systems, in-water measurement arrays, the interfacing of hardware and the development of softwareExperience with the factors that must be taken into consideration for in-water acoustics, such as distance, sound speed in the water, sound velocity profile, absorption, spreading loss, reflection, sensitivity, or receive/projection patterns of hydrophones and sourcesPreferred QualificationsReal time acquisition and analysis of acoustic data from ships and submarinesExperience with underwater acoustic tracking systems and their operationDoD IAT Level II certification, ex., Security+Operating Systems: Windows 10, Server 2019/2022; Linux (RedHat 8 or CentOS 8 preferred)Experience with hydrophones, accelerometers, voltage, and interface types including IEPE, ICP, CVLD, and CCLD, expertise in FPGA hardware design and IDE software utilizing VHDL across Altera, Xilinx, Actel, or Lattice platforms, printed circuit board development using Altium, KiCAD, or Eagle, MATLAB, NI LabView, and C language development environments like Eclipse and NI CVIClearance RequirementsMust be a US citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearancePhysical RequirementsThe person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentationsMust be able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds as required
