Pay: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per yearJob description: Associate Software DeveloperConstellation is seeking an Associate Software Developer who is comfortable across the stack, specifically building modern user interfaces in React and supporting robust backend services in Java/Spring Boot (or similar frameworks). You will work on mission-critical applications that integrate data collection, operational reporting, and intelligent automation to support national security objectives. This position involves close collaboration with analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver mission-driven capabilities across multiple workstreams.Job Responsibilities:Building and maintaining responsive web applications using React, integrating them with backend services and APIsSupporting the development of backend logic and data services using Java/Spring or equivalent frameworksCollaborating with analysts and stakeholders to translate complex data requirements into intuitive, high-performance user interfacesParticipating in sprint planning, code reviews, and technical design sessions within a tight-knit engineering teamWriting unit tests and participating in CI/CD workflows to ensure the reliability of production codeThe ideal candidate must have the following credentials:2 - 5 years of professional experience in software development, with a proven ability to work in frontend frameworks like React and backend ecosystems such as Java/Spring, C#/.NET, or similar enterprise-grade languagesStrong experience developing front-end applications using HTML, TypeScript, and CSS with a focus on responsive design and modern UI/UXStrong understanding of RESTful APIs, React component design and common component libraries, and secure web development practicesProficiency in writing unit tests using frameworks such as JestExperience working in a collaborative code environment and familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development workflowsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related fieldU.S. citizen able to pass a background investigation by the client agency.
