ResponsibilitiesMeridell Achievement Center is a 134-bed, seclusion free, psychiatric residential treatment facility located northwest of Austin. Our 60-acre campus is complete with mature oaks, rolling hills, and plenty of walking paths and outdoor spaces. We have 7 unique living units separated by gender, age, and development needs with a swimming pool, gymnasium, sports court and playing fields. We provide 24-hour psychiatric care to girls and boys ages 10 to 17 years old with customized therapeutic approaches and intensive behavioral programs to teach young patients to moderate their behavior, manage emotions and improve social functioning.Website: www.meridell.comThe Intake Counselor assess the clinical and financial appropriateness of potential admissions and facilitating external arrangements for admissions including coordinating staff assignments for care and bed placement. Hours will be 10:30am to 7:00pm 5 days a week. One year psychiatric / neuropsychiatric experience with adolescents and / or young adults in a long-term hospital or residential setting preferred.ExperienceOne (1) year of Clinical experience in psychiatric settingSituational evaluationCrisis intervention.Licensure/CertificationMust have LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or LMSWCurrent driver license.Knowledge And SkillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Maintain confidentiality of patient and employee information. Demonstrate effective organization.
