Intern - Finance

Responsibilities Position Summary The Summer Finance Intern will support the Finance Department with a variety of accounting, administrative, and organizational tasks. This position provides hands-on experience in corporate finance and accounting operations, including expense allocation, account reconciliation, research, verification activities, and electronic records management. The intern will work closely with finance team members to support accurate financial reporting and efficient departmental operations.Essential Duties And Responsibilities Assist with company credit card expense allocations and documentation review Gather, organize, and verify supporting financial information and receipts Perform account reconciliations and assist with resolving discrepancies Conduct financial and accounting research as assigned Support verification and audit-related activities for financial records Maintain and organize electronic files and accounting documentation Assist with data entry and updating accounting records in financial systems Prepare spreadsheets, reports, and other supporting schedules Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of financial information Provide general administrative and operational support to the Finance Department Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned Qualifications Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to handle confidential information professionally Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Preferred Skills Experience with accounting or ERP software is a plus Strong time management and multitasking abilities Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting and computer work Ability to occasionally lift and move files or office materials up to 15 pounds Work Environment Office environment with regular computer and administrative work May involve collaboration with multiple departments and staff members Internship Details Seasonal/Summer Internship Part-time or full-time based on departmental needs Hourly, non-exempt position Company OverviewBring your passion, expertise, and experience to IBTS, where we appreciate and are committed to our employees.
