Lean Engineer
Overview
In this role you will drive operational excellence in a high‑volume EV battery manufacturing plant. You will analyze OEE data, identify loss sources, and lead Lean problem‑solving to boost reliability, stability, and yield. You will collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering to sustain improvements and embed a Lean culture across the line. This position offers hands‑on impact in a fast‑paced, technology‑driven environment with a clear path to influence safety, quality, delivery, and cost outcomes.

ResponsibilitiesAnalyze OEE data (Availability, Performance, Quality) to identify loss contributorsLead root cause analysis using Lean tools (A3, PDCA, 5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto)Develop and sustain countermeasures to improve equipment reliability, process stability, and yieldCollaborate with Production, Maintenance, and Engineering to enhance line performanceLead Lean improvement projects and Kaizen events focusing on throughput, downtime, yield, and labor efficiencyEstablish and facilitate cross‑functional Lean teams with operators, technicians, engineers, and supervisorsPromote a Kaizen system encouraging shop‑floor participationStandardize improvements through standard work, audits, and metrics trackingSupport Lean culture across the plant and align initiatives with SQDC/M objectivesUse Excel and manufacturing data systems to analyze trends, build reports, and communicate insights
Key requirementsBachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field3–5 years of Lean / Continuous Improvement experience in manufacturingExperience in EV battery, electronics, semiconductor, or other high‑volume automated manufacturing preferredSolid knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and toolsStrong data analysis skills to translate production data into improvementsExecution and ownership mindset to manage multiple improvement initiativesExcellent communication and collaboration across organizational levelsProactive, team‑oriented approachstrong communicationcollaborationproactivenessLean Manufacturing tools and methodologiesData analysis using ExcelExperience with OEE concepts
