If the role aligns with your background and career goals, we encourage you to apply and take the next step toward joining a dynamic and forward-thinking team.Position Title – UI Engineer (Building Automation System (BAS))Hourly Pay Rate (w2 Role) - USD 60/hr2- USD 66/hrContract End Date -09/06/2027Hybird PositionLocation - Glendale, WI 53209Job Summary UI Engineer (Contract - 6 Months)Why this role existsWe are building a shared UI Framework that provides reusable components, theming, state management, and API access capabilities for a next-generation Building Automation System (BAS) platform supporting both edge/on-premises and cloud deployments.Key Responsibilities• Build, extend, and maintain reusable React and TypeScript components.• Develop BAS UI screens and workflows integrated with REST and streaming APIs.• Ensure cross-browser and cross-platform consistency.• Create and maintain unit, component, and end-to-end tests.• Troubleshoot and improve frontend performance.• Resolve defects and document root-cause analyses.• Produce component documentation, usage guides, and technical handover notes.Team Environment• Participate fully in Agile Scrum ceremonies.• Contribute to three-week sprint commitments.• Deliver first merged PR during initial sprint.• Collaborate with permanent engineering teams.Required Qualifications• 4+ years of frontend development experience.• Strong React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS expertise.• Experience building reusable component libraries or design systems.• Strong debugging and performance optimization skills.• Knowledge of REST APIs and frontend architecture boundaries.• Experience with CI/CD workflows and code reviews.• Windows and Linux development experience.• Agile/Scrum experience.Preferred Qualifications• WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility experience.• Node.js, .NET/C#, or Angular exposure.• Real-time data applications, WebSockets, SSE, virtualization.• Browser extension development.• IoT, SCADA, industrial automation, or building automation experience.
