PSAT/SAT Support Interventionist
Primary QualificationsValid Michigan secondary level teaching certificate with a major in Mathematics or English/Language Arts preferredHighly Qualified status preferredPosition Responsibilities Primary role will be to offer Intensive Individualized Support to students who have fallen behind academically, personally, and emotionally. Support students towards long-term academic success. Ability to implement and instruct established Grosse Pointe Curriculum.Ability to motivate, problem solve, and set PSAT/SAT academic goals with students.Ability to integrate technology with instruction.Serve as a mentor/coach for at-risk students to improve learning.Develop skills to improve ability to learnDevelop and support tiered/MTSS academic plansMaintains effective and efficient record keeping procedures specific to grant requirements. . Provides a positive environment in which students are encouraged to be actively engaged in the learning process. Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, parents, and other professionals on a regular basis regarding progress of students. Collaborates with peers to enhance the instructional environment. Models professional and ethical standards when dealing with students, parents, peers, and community. Ensures that student growth and achievement is continuous and appropriate for age group, subject area, and/or program classification. Assumes responsibility for meeting his/her course and school-wide student performance goals. Demonstrates gains in student performance. Meets professional obligations through efficient work habits such as: meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, coordinating. Performs other responsibilities as assigned by the administrator.
