About the JobTitle: Senior Container Platform Engineer | Kubernetes | OpenShift | DevOpsLocation: Remote (During Contract) | Hybrid upon Conversion (Bedford, MA or McLean, VA)Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire (6+ Months)Status: Accepting CandidatesAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Senior Container Platform Engineer to support and manage enterprise Kubernetes and OpenShift environments. This is a hands-on infrastructure role focused on platform administration, automation, DevOps, and container technologies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience administering Kubernetes/OpenShift platforms rather than simply deploying applications.Key ResponsibilitiesAdminister, maintain, and optimize Kubernetes/OpenShift container platforms.Manage enterprise container infrastructure and platform operations.Design, implement, and support CI/CD pipelines.Automate infrastructure and operational tasks using DevOps tools.Develop automation using Python and shell scripting.Utilize Ansible, Terraform, Chef, and Argo CD for infrastructure automation.Ensure platform security, compliance, and operational reliability.Collaborate with development teams to support containerized applications.Work with GitLab, Jenkins, SonarQube, or similar DevOps toolsets.Support cloud-native technologies, container security, and vulnerability management.Required QualificationsStrong hands-on experience administering Kubernetes and/or Red Hat OpenShift platforms.Experience managing enterprise container infrastructure.Expertise with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.Proficiency in Python and shell scripting.Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Chef, and Argo CD.Knowledge of Linux administration and infrastructure automation.Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks.Strong troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience with cloud container platforms.Knowledge of container vulnerability scanning and remediation.Experience with GitLab, Jenkins, SonarQube, or similar DevOps tools.Experience supporting enterprise-scale Kubernetes environments.CompensationEstimated hourly range: $70–$75/hr (W-2)Final compensation will be determined based on experience, technical skills, and interview performance
