Monitors patients hemodynamically per department protocols and initiates appropriate interventions when indicated. Assessed patients before, during, and post-procedure, and documents accordingly. Prepares and educates patients and families prior to discharge. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to assist physicians monitoring, collecting, and processing physiologic data during coronary and peripheral studies.Delivers all medications, before, during, and post-procedure, as prescribed by physician, documenting all medications delivered per hospital policy, and indicating any adverse reactions.Demonstrates knowledge and clinical expertise in performing Cardiac Cath Lab related tests, procedures, and treatments prescribed by a physician.Performs emergency duties, including CPR, assisting with temporary pacemaker placement, and insertion of aortic balloon pump.Performs physical and psychosocial assessment of all age groups of patients that demonstrates knowledge and consideration of age specific and cultural differences. Modifies nursing care to meet the age specific requirements of the adolescent (13 to 17 years), adult (18 to 70 years) and geriatric (71+ years) patients.Additional responsibilities re outlined on the Clinical Ladder and are to be documented on the Annual Evaluation Checklist.Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to assist physicians monitoring, collecting and processing physiologic data during coronary and peripheral studies.Completes and keeps accurate documentation of the patients medical records.
