Job Overview:We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Machinist (or CNC Operator looking to take the next step) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in a non-production CNC environment, demonstrating the ability to perform accurate setups and machining of various materials. This role requires strong attention to detail, proficiency in reading blueprints, and a hands-on approach to operating CNC machines. If you're a self-motivated, team-oriented individual with your own tools, we'd love to hear from you!Key Responsibilities:Set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision parts in a variety of materials (metals, plastics, etc.).Interpret and read blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions to ensure the accuracy of machined parts.Perform adjustments to CNC programs as needed to optimize efficiency and ensure product quality.Conduct thorough machine setups, including alignment and calibration of tools, fixtures, and workpieces.Utilize precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify part dimensions and tolerances.Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues independently, minimizing downtime and maintaining optimal production flow.Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to meet production targets and quality standards.Ensure the proper maintenance and care of CNC machines and equipment, including performing routine checks.Required Skills and Qualifications:3-5 years of hands-on CNC machining experience in a non-production or low-volume, high-mix environment (preferred).Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical blueprints and drawings.Strong setup and operational skills for various CNC machines (lathes, mills, etc.).Ability to work with a variety of materials, including metals, alloys, and composites.Experience with G-code and CNC control systems (Fanuc, Haas, Siemens, or similar).Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and fix machine-related issues.Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and a team player with the ability to work independently.Must possess own tools and be familiar with industry-standard equipment.Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality.Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience working in a prototype or custom job shop environment.Familiarity with CAD/CAM software (Mastercam, SolidWorks, etc.) is a plus.Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
