MEP Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for commercial, residential, mixed-use, and/or institutional construction projects throughout New York City. The ideal candidate will manage MEP operations from pre-construction through closeout while ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with NYC building codes and safety regulations.This position requires strong technical knowledge, leadership ability, and experience coordinating with ownership, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and field teams on fast-paced NYC construction projects.Job Function:ResponsibilitiesManage all MEP aspects of construction projects from design review through project completionCoordinate HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and building automation systemsReview drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and change ordersWork closely with general contractors, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors to maintain project schedulesLead MEP coordination meetings and resolve field conflictsMonitor project budgets, cost tracking, procurement, and forecasting for MEP scopesEnsure compliance with NYC building codes, DOB regulations, and safety requirementsConduct site walks and oversee installation quality, commissioning, and punch list completionAssist with value engineering and constructability reviewsCoordinate inspections, permits, and utility company requirementsMaintain project documentation and progress reports for ownership and senior managementSupport project closeout including as-builts, O&M manuals, and turnover documentationJob Requirement:QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred15+ years of MEP project management experience within the NYC construction marketExperience with commercial high-rise, multifamily, healthcare, hospitality, or mixed-use projects preferredStrong understanding of HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, and life safety systemsKnowledge of NYC DOB requirements and local building codesAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specificationsExperience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple tradesProficient with Microsoft Office, Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, and/or PrimaveraExcellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsOSHA 30 certification preferred
