Rigger
RiggerJ PW Structural Contracting located in Syracuse, NY is currently seeking a Rigger to join their team!
Assemble, disassemble and move heavy equipment & bulky objects by selecting and using the various rigging hardware, such as ropes, slings, shackles, clamps, chain falls, and come-a-longs in a correct and safe manner.
ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities include:
Experience with heavy equipment and material moving
In-depth knowledge of rigging equipment
Excellent spatial awareness
Good communication skills
OSHA 10
3+ years working as a rigger
Physical RequirementsThe physical requirements include:
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must pass a pre-employment drug test and be subject to random testing during course of employment.
Possess the coordination, physical strength, and agility to complete required tasks within the allotted time frame.
Able to quickly and repeatedly bend, stretch, twist, or reach out with body, arms and/or legs without restriction.
Acceptable visual acuity, either corrected or uncorrected.
Able to work at heights and in extreme temperatures and moderately inclement weather
QualificationsThe qualifications include:
3+ years experience in welding
Familiarity with welding tools and procedures
Basic knowledge and understanding of layout
Familiarity with reading and understanding blueprints
Ability to handle physical workload
Starting wage will DOE
CompensationMin compensation is USD $25.00/Hr. Max compensation is USD $30.00/Hr.
