Precision Sheet Metal TechnicianEagle Metalcraft in East Syracuse is looking for a highly skilled Precision Sheet Metal Technician with strong CNC programming experience to support our precision manufacturing operations. This role will focus on programming and operating advanced fabrication equipment, including laser cutting, punching, forming, and hardware installation systems. The ideal candidate brings hands-on expertise with industry-leading machinery and CAD/CAM software, along with a commitment to quality and efficiency.ResponsibilitiesProgram and operate an LVD 6kW Puma fiber laser using Cadman softwareCreate, edit, and optimize CNC programs for a Trumpf punch pressProgram and operate a Trumpf TruBend press brake using Boost softwareSet up and operate Amada press brakes for forming operationsOperate Haeger hardware insertion machines for installation of fasteners and hardwareInterpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files to ensure accurate part productionSet up machines, tooling, and materials for production runsMonitor production processes and perform in-process and final quality inspectionsTroubleshoot programming or machine issues and implement corrective actionsCollaborate with engineering and production teams to improve workflows and reduce wasteMaintain equipment and ensure a safe, organized work environmentRemote PositionNoMin CompensationUSD $19.00/Hr.Max CompensationUSD $28.00/Hr.QualificationsRequired Qualifications:2+ years of experience in sheet metal fabrication and CNC programmingProficiency with Cadman and Boost CAD/CAM softwareExperience operating LVD laser systems, Trumpf punch and press brakes, and Amada press brakesExperience with hardware insertion equipment such as Haeger machinesStrong understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes, tooling, and materialsAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and specificationsHigh attention to detail and strong problem-solving skillsPreferred Qualifications:Technical degree or certification in manufacturing, machining, or related fieldExperience in a job shop or high-mix manufacturing environmentKnowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practicesCompany ProfileFounded in 1953 as the Eagle Manufacturing Company, we began primarily as a welding shop.
