Safety Valve Technician

Pay Rate : $25 per hour - $28 per hourLocation: Pasadena, TXDuration: 12 MonthsWork Mode: OnsiteResponsibilities:Assemble complex components per assembly drawings/bill of materialPerform functional testing on assembliesTest assemblies per customer and/or division criteriaOperate test equipment in compliance with engineering standardsApply settings, calibrate, and maintain assembly toolsPerform torquing of various componentsDistribute quality notifications (qn's)Repair safety relief valves to National Board VR CodeTest safety valves with air, water, & steamRead and interpret manufacturers drawings and spring chartsUnderstand steam boiler operating and testingApply measurement & math skills to verify critical dimensionsPerform machine and hand lapping of nozzles and discsPerform valve write-upUnderstand the pressure and leak test valves to National Board, API, and ASME standardsRequirements:High School Diploma or equivalent1 year related experienceExperience with the assembly of safety valves is preferredExperience working with dial calipersExperience working with micrometersExperience working with Consolidated products is a plusPreferred Skills:Reading and interpretation of assembly manualsGood communicatorAttention to detailSAP familiarity (ERP systems)
