By equipping the brightest minds with the best resources available, we provide an invaluable edge in real estate.We are currently seeking an accomplished Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team, while supporting our multiple software products and brands across the organization, such as Debt Solutions, CoStar Suites, LoopNet, Apartments.com, Homes.com, and Ten-X.This position is located in Irvine, CA and has the work schedule of 4 days onsite and 1 day work from home.What Qualities Are We Looking For?An individual with a sense of ownership and pride in his performance and its impact on company's success and can work in a fast-paced environment, supporting multiple software products and brands across the organization such as www.apartments.com, www.costar.com and www.loopnet.comAn Individual who is passionate about automating and leveraging DevOps principles, always striving for operational excellence with infrastructure-as-code mentality.An individual who lives and breathes continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) using latest DevOps tools and innovative methodsAn individual with proactive and go-getter attitude who works well in a team environment as an individual contributorAn individual who is comfortable in a development and operations roleAn individual who has a thirst for learning new tools, platforms and languagesAn individual who communicates and collaborates well with teams in IT and business organizations within the companyA critical thinker with good problem solving and time management skills and an ability to multi-taskAn individual with strong communication skills, expresses oneself clearly both verbally and in writing.Provides help to management, including hiring, on-boarding, training and performance reviews.Motivates team members and assesses performance, keeps management updated on team performance.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree required from an accredited, in-person, not for profit university or collegeA track record of commitment to prior employers5+ years' experience with managing heavy web traffic sites using mass scale architecture with a developer focusSolid sizing and estimation techniques for small to medium size tasks and projectsInfrastructure as code using Cloudformation, Terraform or similar platformsHeavy experience using AWS or Azure or Google cloudStrong understanding of Kubernetes environments and supporting toolingFoundational understanding of AI/ML concepts and practical application as it applies to improving workflows, observability and team efficiencyHeavy scripting support with PowerShell or BashConceptual understanding of SQL and No SQL databases, with the ability to evaluate and select appropriate solutions based on performance, cost and technical fit.Experience with configuring Content Delivery Networks (CDN) for performance caching and global traffic management.Familiarity with infrastructure foundation components of large networks in AWS and on-prem (e.g., systems & network administration, DNS, hypervisors, containers, databases, multi-datacenters).Nice to Haves:Experience with enterprise monitoring tools in areas of APM, system vitals, synthetics and RUM.Programming languages / some developer background with either Java, C#, Python, NodeJSServer-less architecture methodologiesFamiliarity with PCI compliance and remediationMobile application support (iOS, Android)Experience in REST API or Microservices developmentAgile methodologies and working on short sprint cyclesWhat's in it for YouWhen you join CoStar Group, you'll experience a collaborative and innovative culture working alongside the best and brightest to empower our people and customers to succeed.We offer you generous compensation and performance-based incentives.
