Today, value is digital, global, and moves instantly, but the experience of moving it hasn’t caught up.Fun offers the highest converting payment solution in the digital asset space - a unified system that enables users to complete any on-chain action using crypto, exchange balances, or fiat from a card or bank account, all in a single, seamless flow.Our goal is simple: make transacting with any asset feel effortless, anywhere in the world.Role OverviewWe’re hiring our first Strategic Communications Lead to own how Fun is understood by the world.This is not traditional marketing. This is about shaping narrative, positioning, and perception at every level, from product launches and partnerships to how we show up in the broader financial and digital asset ecosystem.You will work directly with the Chief Strategy Officer, operating at the intersection of product, partnerships, and narrative to define how Fun is positioned externally.Your core strength is turning complex systems into clear, compelling narratives, and knowing what not to say as much as what to say.Responsibilities: Own Fun’s external narrative across product launches, partnerships, and company milestonesDevelop clear positioning and messaging frameworks across products and audiencesWrite high-impact materials including press releases, announcements, launch content, and founder commsPartner closely with leadership, product, and BD to ensure consistent, high-quality communication across all surfacesShape how Fun shows up across channels (owned, earned, and social) with a focus on signal over noiseIdentify and execute high-leverage storytelling opportunities (press, partnerships, moments)Maintain a high bar for quality, clarity, and consistency across everything we publishRequirements:3+ years in strategic communications, content, product marketing, or similar rolesExceptional writer with strong instincts for narrative, positioning, and toneAbility to simplify complex technical systems into clear, compelling storiesStrong judgment on messaging, audience, and timingSelf-starter who can operate with high ownership and minimal structureStrong understanding of the digital asset ecosystem and ability to communicate within it authenticallyNice to Have: Experience at a high-growth startup or infrastructure companyBackground in fintech, payments, or financial systemsExperience with product launches, PR, or founder-led communicationsActive presence in crypto-native communitiesAbility to operate across formats (long-form, social, internal comms, etc.)Why Join UsShape the future of payments and programmable moneyWork with bleeding-edge tech in a domain where innovation moves fastJoin a mission-driven team focused on access, openness, and trustBe a key contributor, not just a cog—your work will ship fast and matterCollaborate with top-tier protocols, builders, and financial infrastructure providersLocation and Work Environment This role is primarily in-person at our Midtown, NYC headquarters. We work together Monday through Thursday for fast, iterative collaboration and optional WFH Fridays to reset and recharge.We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses.
