We are partnered with a digital consultancy that is looking for a Production Support Engineer (L2/L3) to support their investment management client in Boston, MA. This is a 7-month contract to start with potential to convert full-time. Location/Work Model: On-site 4 days per week in Boston officeInvestment Compliance Production Support Engineer (L2/L3)Project OverviewGuideline Monitoring is a Tier 1 Investment Compliance platform tightly integrated with Order Management Systems (OMS) to enforce both pre-trade and post-trade compliance across global asset portfolios.The platform supports the coding, testing, and ongoing monitoring of thousands of investment guidelines within the Sentinel compliance engine, delivering real-time breach detection and escalation workflows that are critical to regulatory adherence and client mandate compliance.This role sits at the intersection of technology and the investment process, providing direct exposure to front-office workflows, senior compliance stakeholders, and a sophisticated enterprise-scale production environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide L2/L3 production support for a Tier 1 investment compliance application.Monitor and support pre-trade and post-trade compliance workflows across global asset portfolios.Perform incident triage, root-cause analysis, escalation management, and P1 bridge coordination.Investigate compliance rule failures and data anomalies using advanced SQL queries.Communicate technical findings clearly to compliance officers, business users, and senior stakeholders.Support real-time breach detection and escalation workflows within the Sentinel compliance engine.Collaborate with globally distributed teams in a 24×7 follow-the-sun support environment.Contribute to operational automation initiatives using AI-assisted workflows and tooling.Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on resilience, prevention, and operational efficiency.Required Skills & ExperienceAsset Management / Investment ComplianceStrong understanding of investment compliance, guideline monitoring, investment mandates, and compliance workflows.Hands-on experience with pre-trade and post-trade compliance concepts within asset management or capital markets environments.Familiarity with investment compliance platforms integrated with Order Management Systems (OMS).Advanced SQLProduction-grade SQL experience supporting enterprise applications.Ability to query compliance rule outputs, investigate data anomalies, and perform root-cause analysis.Experience working with large-scale financial datasets preferred.Production SupportProven experience across the full production support lifecycle:Incident triageP1/Priority incident managementBridge coordinationEscalation managementRoot-cause analysisStakeholder communicationExperience supporting Tier 1, business-critical applications in high-pressure environments.Experience working within a global 24×7 support model strongly preferred.Communication & Stakeholder ManagementStrong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to translate complex technical issues into business-focused language.Comfortable interacting directly with compliance officers, business users, and senior stakeholders during live incidents.AI & AutomationComfortable working with AI-assisted development and support workflows.Interest in leveraging AI tooling to improve operational efficiency and automation.Preferred QualificationsPrior experience supporting investment compliance or regulatory platforms.Experience with Sentinel or similar compliance engines.Exposure to enterprise Order Management System integrations.Experience using scripting, automation, or AI-enabled operational tooling.Strong ownership mindset with a focus on prevention, resilience, and continuous improvement.Experience collaborating with globally distributed teams and front-office stakeholders.Work EnvironmentEnterprise-scale Tier 1 production environment.High-visibility role supporting critical compliance operations.Global support model requiring flexibility for off-hours or incident response coverage.Fast-paced environment with direct interaction across technology, compliance, and front-office teams.
